Adidas shoe cleaning in Mumbai
Mumbai owns a lot of Adidas, and we see the full range of it: Stan Smiths with grey creases, Superstars with dull shell toes, Sambas with tired suede, and Ultraboosts that have slowly turned beige.
Stan Smiths and Superstars
These are mostly smooth leather and rubber, which is good news, because they respond really well to a proper leather clean and a sole scrub. The green heel tab on a Stan Smith gets cleaned on its own, since its colour can run onto the white if you are careless with water.
Sambas and Gazelles
It feels like half of Bandra owns Sambas at the moment. The suede T-toe and overlays are dry cleaned with an eraser and a little steam, and the nap is brushed back up afterwards. Gum soles need a gentle hand, since they mark easily and stay slightly tacky whatever you do.
Ultraboost and Primeknit
Boost foam soaks up dirt like a sponge, which is why white Boost drifts towards beige. We clean it with a soft brush and a foam cleaner, never bleach, and let it dry slowly, while Primeknit uppers get washed by hand with foam. Very old Boost tends to stay slightly creamy, and we would rather mention that now than after the clean.
The process
How we clean Adidas shoes
Pickup and a proper look
We collect from your door, note scuffs, loose soles and old stains with you, and tag each pair so nothing gets mixed up.
Laces out, dry brush first
Laces and insoles come out. Loose dirt and dried mud are brushed off before any water touches the shoe.
Cleaned by material
Mesh and canvas get a foam wash, leather a pH-balanced cleaner, suede a dry eraser and steam. One method never fits every pair.
Soles and midsoles
Rubber edges and midsoles are scrubbed by hand. Yellowed white soles get a separate whitening treatment where it is safe to use.
Deodorise and sanitise
Insoles and the inside lining are washed and treated for odour, so the shoe smells clean when you put your foot in, not just on the outside.
Air dried, laced, delivered
Shoes dry slowly in moving air with no direct heat, which is what warps glue and cracks leather. Then fresh laces in, packed, and back to you.

Questions people ask us
Can you clean the Boost sole on my Ultraboosts?
Yes. Boost comes up a lot whiter with careful cleaning, though very old Boost stays slightly cream.
Do you clean Adidas Sambas?
Yes, leather and suede versions, plus the gum sole.
Can Stan Smith heel tabs bleed?
They can with the wrong cleaner. We clean them separately to avoid it.
